What is Invoice Discounting?
Invoice discounting has been designed to enable businesses to release
cash which is tied up in invoices. What invoice discounting does is when
you raise an invoice you invoice financer will advance you up to 85% of
the value of the invoice. The cash tied up in invoices can typically be
released within 24 hours of the invoice being raised.
When you use invoice discounting, unlike factoring, you retain control over your sales ledger and continue to collect payment as usual. Effectively all invoice discounting does is release cash tied up in invoices, it is invisible to your clients and allows you to put cash back to where you need it most.
Invoice discounting is seen as a service for large organisations as they already have the management systems and employees in place to adequately manage your sales ledger and collection of payment.
